yarn bombed!!!

yarn bomb

our little local library got yarn bombed last week and it’s glorious!  almost every metal tube, railing and tree had some decoration added to it in stripes, zigzags and all kinds of colors.

I don’t know how yarn bombing got started, but I like it.  and I love that it’s come to our village.  yarn bombing is my current favorite form of street art.  it’s officially called graffiti, but it’s nothing short of fabulous.  it’s bringing old-school crafts to the street and making it cool.  what’s not fabulous about that?
